Louisville City is adding goalkeeper depth to their roster with local talent. Ryan Troutman (Twitter/Insta), Trinity High School graduate, has earned his first professional contract with his hometown club.
The 6’1” 23-year-old keeper began his collegiate career at Bowling Green State University in Ohio before transferring to UK and then later UofL. Between UofL and LouCity, Troutman was a part of Des Moines Menace’s 2023 roster, playing in 11 matches for the USL League 2 club.
“I'm excited to be joining my hometown club to start my professional career," Troutman said. "Since Louisville City started 10 seasons ago, it has been a dream of mine to play here. Being able to represent this city and this club is truly something special. I can’t wait to get to work and help bring more trophies to the club.”
Seeing guys earn their first professional contract is great, especially when it's for their local club. While it will be a challenge competing with Damian Las and Danny Faundez on the depth chart, he clearly showed something to the staff to earn him this opportunity. Looking forward to seeing how he develops and contributes to the squad!
